Antonella Venez - Vocals

Antonella is a talented and professional vocalist who can lay claim to over ten years’ experience in performing in bands, duos and trios. Her amazing voice has been described as soulful, rich and versatile, allowing her to deliver dynamic performances for any style of music.

Antonella has performed at weddings, corporate and private functions all around Melbourne. She commands audience attention with her vibrant personality and larger-than-life stage presence. Her unique expressive vocal abilities along with her outstanding harmonies have added an exciting dimension to Something Purple.

Andrew Dem - Vocals

An unmistakable and unique vocal ability to entertain on any level, Andrew ignites the stage with his effervescent personality and fun filled attitude.

Andrew can draw upon an extensive repertoire of music, spanning from 50's artists up to current hits. A wealth of talented artists and bands have influenced Andrew's style - the classic Jazz of Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin, 50's Rock 'n' Rollers such as Elvis Presley & Bobby Darin and more contemporary artists of the likes of Robbie Williams and Ricky Martin.

Glenn Mango - Guitar

Glenn is one of Melbourne’s finest musicians. Having played guitar all around Australia in clubs and cabaret, his professionalism and expertise as well as his passion for music makes him a true performer whose name in the music industry is legendary.

Something Purple can cater for any size function or venue, they have the flexibility to perform as 2, 3, 4, 5 and/or 6 piece band by adding to this outfit some of Melbourne finest musicians.

Eddie Pedanesi – Percussion / Drums

Eddie has been playing drums & percussion for over 30 years, he discovered this passion at a very early age.

As a teenager he started playing regularly at private functions covering a wide range of musical styles from Latin, Funk, Jazz, Rock and contemporary music.

As a highly respected drummer & percussionist in this industry, Eddie is certainly a stand out on the stage.

He has experienced an array of musical performances all over the country such as television appearances, corporate and private functions, weddings and birthdays.

Eddie now finds pleasure in playing percussion with Something Purple, where he finds it is quite different to sitting behind a drum kit. . .

Jo Abbott – Pianist / Keyboards

Melbourne based pianist/composer Jo Abbott, has been performing as a freelance artist for 20 yrs in Australia and overseas. She is known for being versatile in her repertoire and plays a range of styles from jazz; latin; pop and classical to French, Italian, Brazilian and Klezmer.

Jo is a member of various ensembles including Downbeat Big Band, Django Rhythm and Trio Hep and has worked with a vast array of artists including John St Peeters, Alan Lee, Doug de Vries, Sandro Donati and leading world expert on Klezmer Michael Alpert.

Her album “Music of John Lewis, recorded with Alan Lee (Move Records) can be heard regularly on ABC Classic FM.
